Goro SUZUKI (1941 - )
"志野ぐいのみ” Shino guinomi 2
Aichi; c. 1980’s; 3 1/8” at its widest by 2 1/2” tall.
$345 (CAD)
This shino guinomi has pink tones with an iron oxide underglaze decoration. By the Mino master Suzuki Goro, it is unusually large, so, in addition to sake, it would make a perfect cup for Chinese tea.
Suzuki’s cup shows off the distinctive “soft” mogusa clay used for most Mino wares. His shino glazes vary from grey and white to a soft pink with peach tones.
Comes with the signed and titled wood box, and CV.
